Even when idle, uninterruptible power supply with lithium ion battery still needs regular care. When the mains power supply is consistently stable, the battery pack remains in a float charge state for extended periods. This seemingly "standby" mode can actually negatively impact battery performance.

pc ups system If the battery is left unused for more than 2-3 months, it should be connected to mains power for 24 hours to charge, while the inverter should be run for 2-3 minutes to activate the battery. This simple operation improves the battery's charge and discharge performance and slows down its aging process. The ideal ambient temperature is between 0-40℃. For every 10-degree increase in temperature, battery life is reduced by nearly half. The ideal storage environment should be dry, well-ventilated, and away from water sources and corrosive gases.

Discharge the battery every 3 months, the duration depending on the battery capacity, generally several minutes to a dozen minutes. After discharging, wait at least 8 hours before recharging. This periodic operation helps maintain battery activity and prevents capacity decay.
