Spatial Planning And Layout Of Constant Voltage Transformers
The 3 phase constant voltage transformer uses a ferrite core structure and combines it with the principle of ferromagnetic resonance to achieve stable voltage output. This design results in higher equipment density and a significantly greater weight per unit volume compared to ordinary transformers. Engineers must ensure sufficient ventilation clearance during equipment layout, typically recommending at least 200mm of ventilation space around the equipment and at least 300mm above it to meet natural convection cooling requirements.
For rack-mount installations, the equipment depth is crucial. A standard 19-inch rack depth is 600-800mm; some high-capacity constant-voltage transformers may exceed this range, causing installation interference. In data center or precision instrument power supply systems, a separate power distribution scheme is often used, placing the constant voltage transformer for home transformer independently in the equipment room and connecting it to the load via shielded cables. This solves space constraints and reduces the risk of electromagnetic interference.
