The Impact Of Cooling System Shutdown On The Winding Temperature Of Dry-type Transformers
When the heat dissipation device of cast resin dry type transformer stops working, the internal heat of 112.5 kva dry type transformer cannot be dissipated through forced convection. Heat generated during continuous load operation accumulates in the windings, causing the coil temperature to rise rapidly. When the winding temperature reaches 110℃, the system should automatically activate the cooling fan.
The temperature monitoring system collects temperature signals in real time through a Pt100 thermistor embedded in the hottest spot of the low-voltage winding. When the radiator fan stops working or the cooling fan malfunctions, the load capacity of 45kva dry type transformer should be reduced to 70% of its rated capacity. If continuous operation under rated load without cooling support occurs, the winding temperature will exceed the safety threshold.
15 kva dry type transformer Prolonged exposure to high temperatures will accelerate the aging of the insulation material. Winding temperatures exceeding the insulation withstand temperature cause insulation failure, which is the main reason why 100 kva dry type transformer malfunctions. When the temperature continues to rise to 155℃, an over-temperature alarm is triggered; upon reaching 170℃, the circuit breaker must be tripped immediately to stop the equipment operation.
