Chain Reaction Caused By The Failure Of The Temperature Control System Of Dry-type Transformer
When the 1600 kva dry type transformer uses forced air cooling (AF), the output capacity can be increased by 50%. The temperature control system is typically set to start the fan at 90℃ and trigger a high-temperature alarm at 120℃. When the fan fails to start normally due to mechanical failure, the heat generated by the iron core and windings cannot be dissipated in time, and the temperature of 30kva dry type transformer will exceed the safety threshold in a short period of time.
For 33kv dry type transformer equipment with Class F insulation, the winding temperature rise limit is 100K. Under operating conditions with a load rate of 75%, if the cooling device stops working, the coil temperature may rise from the normal 60℃ to a dangerous range exceeding 130℃ within 30 minutes, directly threatening the molecular structural stability of the insulation material.
