Battery Terminal Maintenance Of Uninterruptible Power Supply
After powering off the equipment, thoroughly remove oxides from the battery terminals using fine sandpaper or a specialized cleaner, then apply a layer of anti-rust grease. This prevents further oxidation of the metal terminals and is crucial for extending the reliability of battery connections in the ups power source system.
Perform regular visual inspections of the battery back up power supply system. Check for looseness, corrosion, or oxidation at the terminal connections. If rust or white crystals are found on the terminal surface, clean them promptly and reapply anti-rust grease.
Keep the uninterruptible power system system and its battery pack in a dry, well-ventilated environment with a suitable temperature. Excessive temperature or humidity will accelerate metal oxidation and battery aging. Avoid placing the equipment in direct sunlight or near heat sources.
Periodically check the tightening torque of connecting cables and terminals. Looseness or poor contact may lead to arcing, increased contact resistance, and affect the performance of the backup power supply.
