The Impact Of Long-term Overload Operation Of Constant Voltage Transformers On The Transformer Compartment
Under prolonged overload conditions, if transformer 3 phase constant voltage transformer operates continuously in an environment of excessive current, the temperature of the internal windings will continue to rise, the coil insulation medium will gradually wear down, and the insulation performance will deteriorate, eventually leading to inter-turn breakdown and inter-turn arcing, resulting in inter-casing short circuits. This damage originates from the thermal stress generated by the high load on the coil, causing the insulating paper, enameled wire, and inter-turn isolation structure to age and become brittle, reducing the insulation distance, and generating ionized gas or coking products within constant voltage transformer for home, forming conductive paths. Once a conductive path forms between turns, the electrical coupling structure between the transformer core and windings is damaged, resulting in inter-turn, phase-to-phase, or ground short circuits, posing serious safety hazards.
