The Effect Of Neutral Line Voltage Regulation Of Automatic Voltage Regulator On The Voltage Of Single-phase Load.

In power systems, the stability of the neutral wire potential directly affects the normal operation of electrical equipment. When the neutral wire voltage is adjusted in a 3 phase automatic voltage regulator circuit, it disrupts the balance of the three-phase system, causing a significant voltage shift at the single-phase load end. This phenomenon is particularly common in industrial and residential power distribution scenarios and requires serious attention.

Three-phase imbalance is one factor that exacerbates undervoltage. When one phase is overloaded while the other two phases are underloaded, the neutral wire will carry an unbalanced current. If the neutral wire voltage is adjusted in a three phase automatic voltage regulator circuit at this time, the voltage drop generated by the unbalanced current across the neutral wire impedance will be directly superimposed on the phase voltage, further reducing the voltage of the heavily loaded phase. This situation is common in older residential areas and industrial parks, where uneven three-phase load distribution leads to excessive neutral wire current, and improper voltage regulation can trigger a chain reaction.

From a circuit topology perspective, a reasonable 10 kva automatic stabilizer should adopt a scheme that adjusts the voltage only for the phase lines. The neutral wire, as the reference potential point, should always maintain a stable voltage. Some AC voltage regulators use a compensation transformer connected in series with the phase lines. The load voltage is stabilized by adjusting the output of the compensation winding; this method does not affect the neutral wire potential. In contrast, incorporating the neutral wire into the voltage regulating circuit is fundamentally flawed, violating the basic principle of neutral point grounding in power systems.

In practical applications, technicians need to strictly verify the wiring method of the 10 kva automatic voltage stabilizer. In a standard three-phase four-wire system, the neutral wire should be directly connected to the transformer neutral point without any voltage regulating link. When installing a 10 kva avr circuit breaker, a product that only regulates the live wire should be selected, and a repeated grounding should be installed on the neutral wire to further reduce the risk of neutral wire potential deviation. Regularly checking the neutral-to-ground voltage is also a necessary maintenance measure; if the measured voltage exceeds 5V, the cause should be investigated immediately.
