Moisture Is A Hidden Danger: Analyzing The Suitable Storage Environment For Uninterruptible Power Supplies.
For any location reliant on stable power supply, the mobile ups power supply is the last line of defense for ensuring business continuity. Equipment reliability depends not only on the quality of its internal components but also on the external environment. Among numerous environmental factors, humidity and temperature management are often overlooked yet crucial.
Precise Humidity and Temperature Control
Humid air is a major enemy of the ac ups system equipment. When the ambient humidity exceeds the standard for a long period of time, the surface of the circuit board is prone to absorbing moisture, which can lead to a decrease in insulation performance or even short circuit failure. The relative humidity in the computer room or storage area should be controlled between 40% and 60%, and the temperature should ideally be maintained between 20℃ and 25℃. If the 12vdc ups power supply is transferred from a low-temperature environment to a warmer environment, condensation may occur internally. In this case, it should be left for several hours to allow the temperature to stabilize before powering on to prevent direct damage to components from moisture.
Ventilation and Cleanliness Requirements
Sufficient space must be provided for heat dissipation at the installation location. The equipment should be at least 5cm away from walls or surrounding objects to ensure unobstructed airflow. Do not place the 12v dc ups battery backup power supply in enclosed cabinets or locations with blocked ventilation openings. Dust in industrial settings can clog heat dissipation vents and cause overheating. The surface and surrounding area of the equipment need to be cleaned daily, and the fan filter needs to be cleaned weekly.
