Causes Of Short Circuits Between Positive And Negative Terminals Of The Dc Bus In A Frequency Converter
In actual operation of circuit single phase frequency converter, a direct short circuit between the positive and negative terminals of the DC bus is a serious fault, often accompanied by a sudden increase in main circuit current and even equipment damage. Circuit frequency converter 50hz to 60hz three phase relies on three main parts: rectification, DC bus, and inverter. An abnormality in any of these components can create a low-resistance path on the DC bus, causing a momentary short circuit between the positive and negative buses.
Failure of internal components in the industrial frequency converter is also a common cause. Key components on the DC bus, such as filter capacitors and IGBTs/power diodes, may break down under long-term high-voltage operation or thermal stress, causing a direct connection between the positive and negative wires in the internal circuit. A broken-down semiconductor device will cause current to bypass the normal power path, resulting in a DC short circuit.
Incorrect wiring or wiring problems during installation can also lead to a short circuit between the positive and negative terminals of circuit 444. For example, reversed battery or DC input polarity, poor soldering, or damaged wires causing bare copper wire contact can all create a low-resistance path, directly connecting the positive and negative buses.
