Ideally, the output voltage of a power grid or generator should be a fundamental sinusoidal waveform. However, the presence of high-frequency harmonics superimposed on the fundamental frequency, resulting in a non-ideal output waveform. Harmonics are essentially integer multiples of the fundamental frequency and appear with the voltage or current waveform, affecting the overall system performance.

Injecting high-frequency harmonics into the load causes load voltage distortion. When the load-side voltage waveform deviates from a sinusoidal shape, connected sensitive electrical equipment may exhibit abnormal responses. For example, increased heating, amplified motor vibration, and relay protection malfunctions may occur, all due to the high-frequency components in the waveform altering the actual AC characteristics of the voltage and current.

The purpose of servo automatic voltage regulator is to provide a relatively clean voltage output so that downstream devices receive a stable waveform. The presence of high-frequency harmonics at the output means that circuit voltage regulator 10kva has failed to effectively smooth the distortion on the power supply side. This distortion, propagating through system impedance, further affects transformers and other distribution equipment. In high-power and high-precision applications, this waveform distortion and voltage distortion can lead to reduced equipment lifespan or amplified errors.
